Collect feedback

Collect feedback from your own UI or server, then read it alongside flow responses.

Last reviewed

You can collect feedback without creating a flow. You own the form and its questions; submissions appear in Responses alongside flow responses.

Send from your server

Create an HTTP source in Integrations and use its endpoint and signing secret. Send a feedback operation through the same signed batch you use for events and identities:

{"version": 1,"batch": [{"type": "feedback","messageId": "feedback-123","answers": [{ "type": "text", "value": "Love the app!" }]}]}

Follow the HTTP source setup to sign and send the batch. Keep the signing secret on your server. The acknowledgement confirms acceptance; processing happens afterward.

A feedback operation collects one submission containing one or more answers. Start with text, or use the shared answer format for quantities, scales, and choices. You can also include properties for context such as the page or feature being discussed.

Identities are optional. See HTTP feedback for respondent identity and consent fields. Collecting feedback does not itself grant permission for respondent analytics.

Collect from your own UI

The widget SDK's client.feedback() method isn't included in the current npm release. See the SDK reference for its availability and arguments. Until then, send feedback from your UI to your own backend, which signs requests to the HTTP source.

To use a form built in getuserfeedback.com instead, create a flow.

Read and export

Open Responses to find the submission. The source identifies where it came from. Open a row to read its answers and any properties; feedback without respondent identifiers appears as Anonymous.

Flow-specific filters exclude submissions collected without a flow. Clear those filters if you're looking for feedback sent through your HTTP source.

Choose Export to download the responses matching your current filters, across all pages:

  • Submissions: one submission per row.
  • Answers: one answer per row.

The dialog previews a sample. Downloads above 4 MB are rejected; narrow your filters and try again.
